2.3 Lakh Crores, Telangana Finance Budget, FM, Harish Rao Presents in Assembly

Hyderabad, 18 March: T Harish Rao, Telangana Minister presented state budget for financial year 2021-22 in Assembly today. Generous allocation on Roads, transport, power, irrigation and other infrastructure development projects, in both urban and rural areas.

Budget Highlights…

  • Total expenditure of Rs.2,30,825.96 crores
  • Rs. 1,425 Crore for Hyderabad Development, Rs 250 crore for supply of free drinking water to every household in the city, Rs 725 crore for a new project in Sunkesula to cater to future water needs of the city, Rs 200 crore for restoration of Musi River and for river-front beautification and Rs 250 crore to provide drinking water to the newly-formed colonies within the Outer Ring Road.
  • Rs 1,000 crore new scheme – The Chief Minister’s Dalit Empowerment Programme – for Dalits in the State.
  • Rs 25,000 Crore for #Agriculture and Allied sectors, including Rs 5,225 crore for crop loan waiver scheme.
  • Rs 400 crore for unique digitalised land survey in Telangana
  • Rs 3,000 crore as interest-free loans to SHGs (Self Help Groups)
  • Rs. 200 crores were allotted for Musi river rejuvenation,
  • Rs 33.6 crore for SC, ST welfare
  • Rs 11,728 crore for Aasara pension scheme
  • Rs 2,750 crore for Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak
  • Rs 3,077 crore for Industrial Sector,
  • Rs 2,500 crore for Incentives alone,
  • Rs 29,271 crore for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development
  • Rs 15,030 crore for Municipal Administration and Urban Development department
  • Rs 3,000 crore allocated to TSRTC.
  • Rs. 1,000 crores for Hyderabad metro rail,
  • Rs. 250 crores are specifically allocated for the development of Warangal municipal corporation.
  • Rs. 4,000 crores for a new proposed educational scheme that aims to upgrade and modernize the education sector in the State comprehensively.
  • Rs 29,271 crore is proposed for panchayat raj and rural development departments,
  • Rs. 360 crores have been allotted for IT sector.
  • Rs, 6,295 crores on health infrastructure,
