Tried to Repair Mobile Phone, Gang Arrested with I Crore Rs in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Four laborer G Niranjan (40), P Balapeer (32), G Ranjit (22) and M Venkataiah (55), who hid a bag of gold ornaments value Rs 1 crore, which one of them found on an flooded road during the recent rains.

On October 10, a salesman from a jewelry shop in Jubilee Hills was transporting gold ornaments of 143 tolas in a bag on his motorcycle. During heavy rain in Hyderabad at  6 PM on Road No 3, Banjara Hills he slipped on the road while trying to rush to the jewelry shop and lost the bag which fell on the road and was swept away in the rainwater.

One of the four labor, Niranjan, who stays nearby, heard from other locals that the bag of gold was washed away in rainwater and started searching for it, and found it. He called his friends Balapeer, Ranjith and Venkataiah and the four decided to sell it.

Niranjan also found the salesman’s mobile phone in the bag, and they took the phone to Jagadgirigutta where they gave it for repairing.

According to police, the police was tracking the phone’s location and reached Jagadgirigutta and nabbed one and the rest of the gang members and recovered the gold ornaments from them.
