Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police have imposed restrictions on vehicle movement between Amberpet and Golnaka due to flyover construction. These restrictions will start on Wednesday and continue until the work is completed.
- Traffic from 6 Number Junction to Golnaka: Not allowed; diverted towards Zinda Tilismath.
- Traffic from Golnaka to 6 Number Junction: Allowed, as usual, no diversions.
- RTC buses from NCC Gate to 6 Number Junction: Diverted at Tilak Nagar X Road towards the Fever hospital.
Citizens are advised to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
K. Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, has announced traffic diversions in Amberpet to facilitate the construction of the Amberpet Flyover. These diversions will be in effect from July 24, 2024, until the work is completed.
The aim is to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent public inconvenience. The affected area covers the route from 6 Number Junction to Golnaka Junction on NH-163 (formerly NH 202).

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 21 clause (1) & (b) of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli, I, K. Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, do hereby notify the below-mentioned information to the public in general, in order to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to prevent danger and inconvenience to the public, the following traffic diversions will be implemented in the limits of Amberpet Traffic Police Station in view of the construction of the super structure of the Amberpet Flyover from 6 No Junction to Golnaka Junction on NH-163 (Old NH 202). It is proposed to divert the traffic from 24-07-2024 and will be in force till the completion of the work.
DIVERSION POINTS:
1. The general vehicular traffic from 6 No. Junction to Golnaka will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Zinda Tilismath.
2. The general traffic from Golnaka towards 6 No. Junction will be allowed as usual without any diversion.
3. The RTC buses coming from NCC Gate towards 6 No. Junction will be diverted at Tilak Nagar X Road towards the Fever hospital.
All the citizens are requested to take note of the above diversions and choose alternative routes to reach their destinations and co-operate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
