Hyderabad: Telangana government is in the process of studying with the aim of confirming free Covid-19 vaccines for all eligible persons.

According to sources, CM, K Chandrashekhar Rao discussed various issues, including the possibility of free vaccine for eligible people who are more than 18-year-old after 1^st May.

Administering free vaccine will cost Telangana government an estimated amount of Rs 1,600 crore to provide around 2 crore vaccination.

According to source the CM is inclined to go for free vaccination, however, he requested further opinion on, population demographics, requirement of vaccines and sourcing of the vial, also considering the possibility of the Russian Sputnik and Pfizer are likely to enter the Indian market soon.
