Hyderabad: The State government has mandated all departments to replace the abbreviation “TS” with “TG” in the nomenclature of State PSUs, agencies, autonomous institutions, and other government bodies. This decision aligns with the official abbreviation for Telangana adopted by the Government of India.
Orders issued on Friday direct all Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Secretaries to implement this change immediately. Consequently, all Secretariat departments must update references from “TS” to “TG” across various platforms, including official documents, letterheads, reports, notifications, signage, websites, online platforms, and any other official communications.
The directive includes the adoption of “TG” in all future documents such as policy papers, government orders, circulars, and communication materials. Departments are instructed to review existing stationery and printed materials bearing “TS” and develop a plan for their timely replacement or overprinting with “TG.”
Departments must submit an action taken report by May 31 to the Joint Secretary to Government (Coordination), General Administration Department.
