Telangana Family Requests Govt. to bring back Abdul Rahman’s body from Saudi Arabia who Converted to Islam in 2002

Abdul Rahman’s wife writes, “Kindly repatriate the human remains from Saudi Arabia to India at the earliest to perform final rituals as per our local customs.”

Hyderabad: Abdul Rehman, formerly known as Bhiri Raja Mallaiah, converted to Islam 18 year ago in the year 2002. He died on August 30 in Saudi Arabia.

He was working in Saudi Arabia 40 year ago and was working in General Agencies and Contracting Company.

Abdul Rehman hails from Yekeenpur village in Jagtial district.

His son, Mallesh Baira appealed to the central government for assisting to bring back his father body from Saudi Arabia after he was told by his father’s employers that they would bury the body there. The son further request government assist to recover the pending service amount of 41 years of employment


Abdul Rahman wife Baira Rajju (Bhoomakka) also seeks to have his body returned to his native village.

In a petition, she requested the Jagtial District Collector, and Government of Telangana to coordinate with the Consulate General of India in Jeddah and Union External Affairs Ministry so that they could bring Abdula Rahman’s body back.

It is not clear what local customs she is referring to.
