Mumbai, 05 March: In a major twist on the mystery of an explosives-filled SUV parked near Indian’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai home, the owner of the SUV was found dead today.

The Mansukh Hiren body was fished out of a creek near Mumbai, according to a Thane police officer.

While Hiren was identified as the owner of the car, the driver who had parked the car is yet to be identified.

Hiren was missing since Thursday and his family had registered a missing complaint with Naupada police station.

Initial inputs suggest that Mansukh Hiren died by suicide. Police officials believe he jumped into the Kalwa creek in Thane.

Mansukh Hiren’s family said, he cannot die by suicide, and said they knew that he was in Virar on Thursday night.

Mansukh Hiren’s family Neighbors told; Mansukh Hiren used to teach children in his building how to swim.

Mumbai Commissioner of Police Param Bir Singh and Joint Commissioner Milind Bharambe refused to comment on Mansukh Hiren’s death.  And said “Mansukh Hiren died by suicide and that is confirmed. We will update later,” the top officials told reporters outside the Commissioner’s office in Mumbai on Friday.

Earlier this week, the police dismissed any connection to a little-known group, Jaish-ul-Hind, which put out a poster saying: “We want to clear that ‘Jaish-Ul-Hind’ has no relation with the incident that happened outside Mukesh Ambani’s bungalow.”

Police had ruled out a terror angle during the probe conducted so far.
