Sub Inspector Sandhya, First Woman Police Officer to Donate Plasma

Hyderabad: G. Sandhya, Sub-Inspector from Rachakonda Police Commissionerate has become the first woman police cop donate plasma.

Sandhya, who works at the Chaitanyapuri police station, said she broke down when she tested positive for CoronaVirus. She did not notify her mother and father, who stay in the village and it was only after she tested negative did, she told them.

However, she said that she appeared more stronger and began directing and counselling those around her who tested positive for CoronaVirus.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat received a message from one person about plasma requirement to Devi Varma a CoronaVirus patient.

He forwarded the request to Rachakonda covid control room, Sub-Inspector Sandhya reached to the patient at Sunshine Hospital, Secunderabad to donate her plsama to save the life of Devi Verma.

While Varma expressed his deep gratitude for the plasma donation by Sandhya, the Rachakonda Police Commissioner appreciated Sandhya for donating plasma.
