Hyderabad, 27 January 2021:The Telangana government has reached an agreement in principle to lay the foundation stone for the masjid in secretariate on February 26.

A meeting was conducted between public representatives of community and religious scholars with Telangana minorities welfare minister Koppula Eshwar on Wednesday.

Ahmed Balala MIM MLA submitted a detailed plan of the proposed masjid to be constructed in Secretariat complex.

MIM MLA Ahmed Balala stressed that the foundation stole laying date to be fixed as there was increasing unhappiness in the community over the delay in reconstruction of the masjid.

Telangana Ministers Eshwar and Talasani Srinivas Yadav had clarified that the Chief Minister KCR wanted to fulfil his promise as early as possible and said there is no hurdle from the government side to construct the masjid,
