New Secretariat Main Entrance locked, Vaastu Changes Expected

New Secretariat Main Entrance locked, Vaastu Changes Expected

Hyderabad: On Monday, visitors to the BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat found the main entrance gates unexpectedly locked and secured with aluminum and copper wires, alongside padlocks, suggesting a permanent closure. While officials have not provided an official reason, it is widely speculated that the closure is for Vaastu-related changes.

A police constable confirmed that there were oral instructions to close the main entrance. The closure follows the Congress’s defeat in the Mahabubnagar Local Authorities constituency by-poll, prompting discussions among officials and employees. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who usually enters through the main gate, will now use the West gate for entry and the North gate for exit, while other senior officials will use the South East gate.

This marks the first Vaastu adjustments in the Secretariat since Reddy became Chief Minister on December 7 last year. Additionally, the Chief Minister’s Office is being relocated from the sixth to the ninth floor, with ongoing renovations to accommodate this move. Further changes are expected within the Secretariat complex. Previously, Reddy made Vaastu adjustments to the Gandhi Bhavan, the State Congress headquarters, following his appointment as the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president in July 2021, a move believed to have brought success and is now being replicated in the Secretariat.
