Hyderabad: After Telangana High Court rejects the government review petition over POP made Ganesh immersion in Hussain Sagar, the Telangana government approach the supreme court for review.

Supreme Court on Thursday passed an order allowing immersion of Ganesh idols made of plaster of Paris (POP) only this year in Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.

However, from the next year, the state government has to follow all high court’s directions in this regard. The apex court has also sought an undertaking from the state government and asked “why steps were not taken earlier?”.
