Saudi Arabia Suspends Entry for Non-Citizens from India, UAE, and 18 Nations over CoronaVirus Spread Fears
Riyadh, 02 FEB: Saudi Arabia has suspended entry in the country for non-citizens, including diplomats, health practitioners, and their families, from 20 countries including India and UAE as it steps up efforts to stop the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
“Temporary Suspension for Entry to the Kingdom for Non-Citizens, Diplomats, Health Practitioners and their Families Coming from 20 Countries, Starting at 21:00 on Wednesday 03/02/2021, the Interior Ministry announces”
The Saudi Press Agency (Government New Agency) reported on Tuesday referring source at the Interior Ministry tweets.
Following countries are on the list in the statement.
Argentina, United Arab Emirates, Germany, United States, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Pakistan, Brazil, Portugal, United Kingdom, Turkey, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Lebanon, Egypt, India, and Japan.
According to sources, “The decision would include those travelers coming from other countries if they passed through any of the 20 banned countries 14 days preceding the request to enter the Kingdom,”.
