Palestinian Rockets Target Tel Aviv after Gaza Tower Destroyed by Israeli Rocket

Palestine: Palestinian militants say they fired 130 missiles at the Israeli city of Tel Aviv after an Israeli Air-strike collapses a 13-storey building in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas, which controls Gaza, says it has been acting to defend al-Aqsa mosque (the third holiest Mosque of Muslims across the globe) from Israeli “aggression and terrorism”.

“We are now carrying out our promise,” Hamas’s armed wing said in a statement. “The Qassam Brigades are launching their biggest rocket strike against Tel Aviv and its suburbs, with 130 rockets, in response to the enemy’s targeting of residential towers.”

According to Israeli military, they are targeting militants in Gaza in response to earlier rocket attacks and warned the resident to evacuate an hour before targeting the tower.

At least 31 people have died in some of the worst violence in years.

The city, holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians, has been tense during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, with the threat of a court ruling evicting Palestinians from homes claimed by Jewish settlers adding to the friction.

The international community has urged both sides to end the escalation, which follows days of unrest in Jerusalem.
