Rift within BJP in Hyderabad and Telangana

Hyderabad: BJP party in Hyderabad and Telangana be seen to be confronting a serious rift with the Raja Singh (MLA),  Bandi Sanjay Kumar (TS BJP President), G Kishan Reddy (Union Minister of State for Home).

Raja Singh expressed his anguish over the mishandling and nominating candidates for the GHMC elections by Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

MLA Raja Singh, in an audio message viral on social media, said he was mourning the death of a family member and in shock. “Bandi Sanjay anna has cheated me. I will write down a letter to the BJP national leadership within the next two-three days. The big leaders here are working as per their fancies. Out of the 150 GHMC divisions, I requested them to leave (candidate selection) the in my assembly constituency to me,” he said.

Raja Sing further says that in the last 2018 elections, “I was the only winner, and it was only because of my party activists. But today, I could not even get single GHMC ticket.

Earlier, for Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar the BJP TS president seems to be a major source of embarrassment.

Sanjay Kumar, in the run up to the GHMC polls campaign, made several controversial and uncalled for remarks against KCR, chief minister of telanaga.  Sanjay said that CM KCR had terror links.

Kishan Reddy was confused at the ‘Meet the Press’ event arranged by the Hyderabad Press Club here on Sunday, when he was questioned by reporters about the State BJP chief’s unsavory comments…

Repoter- Requested Kishan Reddy’s reply to his party chief’s demand that the Centre should place KCR under the surveillance of intelligence agencies like RAW and CBI.

Kishan Reddy- Tried to make light of the issue stating: “Intelligence agencies routinely keep a tab on everyone’s movements. They do it even on you (journalists) or for that matter even me,”

Reporter- Sought an answer to Sanjay’s serious allegations that the CM KCR had links with extremist organisations and whether the Home Ministry had any plans to check the veracity of such a statement,

Kishan Reddy– Caught on the backfoot, said: “I really don’t know what exactly he (Sanjay Kumar) said. Let me find out what he said and then I will respond to your question.”

Reporter- The Minister was cornered again when the scribes pointed out to the promise made by Sanjay that should the BJP win the GHMC polls, it would scrap all the traffic challans issued by the police for violations and make the corporation foot the bill.

Kishan Reddy – Put up a weak defense stating that Sanjay didn’t exactly mean that. “What he said was that some youth were penalized for negligible traffic violations, but that doesn’t mean Sanjay supports violation of traffic norms.”
