New Delhi:Top Bollywood filmmakers have filed a complaint in the Delhi High Court objected to the “irresponsible reporting by certain media houses” in the most recent offshoot of the Sushant Singh Rajput investigation.
The lawsuit has been filed against Arnab Goswami, Pradeep Bhandari of Republic TV, and Rahul Shivshankar, Navika Kumar of Times Now and others.
The TV channels and their related social media platforms used “highly derogatory words and expressions for Bollywood”, said a statement. Those listed are – “dirt”, “filth”, “scum”, “druggies” and expressions such as “it is Bollywood where the dirt needs to be cleaned”, “all the perfumes of Arabia cannot take away the stench and the stink of this filth and scum of the underbelly of Bollywood”, “this is the dirtiest industry in the country”, and “cocaine and LSD-drenched Bollywood”.

The complaint asks Delhi High Court, that the channels as well as social media platforms “refrain from making or publishing irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory remarks against Bollywood and its members”. Film makers further asks that channels and social media be restricted from carrying out media trials of Bollywood’s personalities and infringing upon their privacy.
The filmmakers have insisted that the TV channels comply with the 1994 program code and “withdraw, recall and take down all the defamatory content published by them against Bollywood”.
