Hyderabad: Task force team conducted inspections in the Begum Bazaar area On 26.07.2024, specifically at Shyam Singh Chat Bhandar. The Food Business Operator (FBO) was found to have an FSSAI registration certificate instead of the required state license despite exceeding the sales limit. Several hygiene and safety violations were observed, including a rat infestation near the food preparation area, the use of synthetic food colors in masala water for Pani Puri, and food handlers working without hairnets, gloves, or aprons. Additionally, curd and noodles were stored in the refrigerator without covering or labeling, the premises lacked proper mesh and doors to prevent pest entry, and open dustbins with houseflies were found. The FBO also lacked medical fitness certificates for food handlers and pest control records. A notice will be issued, and further action will be taken accordingly.
