Raja Singh Booked Again by Maharashtra Police for Hate Speech

Mumbai: Once again, Goshamahal BJP MLA T Raja Singh has been booked by the Maharashtra police for delivering a hate speech against minorities. The Bharatiya Janata Party leader was accused on Monday, May 7, for delivering an inflammatory speech at the Hindu Jan Akrosh Morcha rally organized by the Sakal Hindu Samaj in Solapur the previous day. Alongside Maharashtra MLA Nitesh Rane, the BJP leader was charged under Sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion), 295A (outraging religious feelings), and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

During his address on the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Raja Singh urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde not to solicit votes from Muslims but rather from those who “protect Gaumata”. He discouraged attendees from purchasing halal-certified products and advocated for the implementation of a “bulldozer culture” in the state. Asserting against issues like “Land Jihad, Love Jihad”, and cow slaughter, he declared defiance against any opposition.

The rally commenced at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk and concluded at Kanna Chowk, where Raja Singh delivered his speech.
