Railway Tracks Washed Away in Kesamudram Mandal Due to Heavy Rains

Hyderabad: Heavy rain and flash floods in Kesamudram mandal, Mahabubabad district, Telangana, have caused significant damage to railway infrastructure. The soil under the railway tracks between Kesamudram and Intakanne was washed away, and there is waterlogging at several points. The Khammam-Warangal section is heavily affected, leading to train diversions through alternate routes. Passengers are advised to check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) for updated train schedules.

Additionally, Hyderabad residents have been advised to avoid going out unless necessary, as heavy rains are expected to continue in Hyderabad and surrounding districts until September 3. While the state is under a red alert, Hyderabad remains under a yellow alert, indicating caution for possible moderate to heavy rainfall.
