Hyderabad Police Rejects Raja Singh’s Ram Navami Procession

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police have rejected BJP MLA T Raja Singh’s request to conduct a procession for Ram Navami on Wednesday, 17th April.

The police informed him that his application for permission had been rejected. Raja Singh submitted his application to the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police on February 14.

However, the main procession from the Seetarambagh temple will proceed as planned by the Sri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Committee.

In response to this decision, Raja Singh expressed disappointment, mentioning that he has been organizing the Sri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra since 2010, and this is the first time the police have denied permission without clear reasons.

Raja Singh also speculated that with the Congress government in power, there might be increased restrictions on Hindu festivals, pointing to similar incidences in Karnataka and other Congress-governed states.

Stating his determination, the MLA declared that the Shobha Yatra will begin from the Aakashpuri Hanuman Temple, and no obstacles will prevent it.

Hyderabad Traffic Police Issued a Traffic Advisory for “Rama Navami Shobha Yathra”

Due to the “Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yathra” procession on April 17, 2024, at 11 AM, there will be temporary route diversions. The procession will commence from Seetarambagh Temple, Mangalhat, and proceed to Hanuman Vyayamshala, Sultanbazar. Please plan your journey accordingly and consider using alternate routes to minimize traffic delays.
