Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police are inviting applications for 120 temporary special police officer positions from ex-servicemen, former paramilitary forces, and retired police officers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Preference given to ex-servicemen and ex-paramilitary personnel from Telangana.
- Retired police personnel must provide residential proof (Aadhar card, voter ID, or driving licence) from Telangana.
- Age requirements:
- Ex-servicemen and ex-paramilitary: below 58 years as of 01-08-2024.
- Retired police personnel: must have retired within the last two years, with an upper age limit of 61 years.
Required Documents:
- Original and xerox copies of:
- Discharge Book/Certificate or Retirement Order.
- Aadhar Card and PAN Card.
- Technical trade proficiency certificate (if applicable).
- Valid LMV/HMV driving licence (for driver candidates).
- Three passport-size photographs.
Application Process:
- Candidates must apply in person at the SPOs office, CAR headquarters in Petlaburj.
- Phone call applications are not accepted.
- Deadline for application submission: July 18, 5 pm.

(a) Ex-serviceman & Ex-Paramilitary preferably from Telangana State.
(b) Retired Police Personnel should be in possession of Residential proof in Telangana State (i.e., Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving licence).
(c) Age should be below 58 years of age as on 01-08-2024 for Ex-serviceman. Ex-Paramilitary & Retired Police Personnel those who have retired from service within two years are eligible to apply for them upper age limit is 61 years.
(d) Honorarium per Month is Rs. 26,000/- and leave is not entitled. In case of leaves if required subject to without pay.
(e) They should be in possession of following documents original and xerox copy:-
(i) Discharge Book / Discharge Certificate / Retirement Order.
(ii) Aadhar Card & PAN Card.
(iii) Technical Trade Proficiency Certificate if Applicable.
(iv) Valid Driving Licence LMV / HMV for Driver candidates only.
(v) Three passport size photographs.
(f) All the interested candidates should apply personally visiting SPOs Office, CAR Headquarters, Petlaburj, Hyderabad for submission of application and phone calls are not accepted.
2. Last date for submission of applications is on 18 -07-2024 at 5 PM.
