Hyderabad: In a freak and fatal road accident in Ameerpet. Girish Gupta died while another person was injured after their bike crashed into the roadside railings of the Punjagutta Metro Station in the early hours of Friday.
The two friends were riding bike at a high speed from Gachibowli towards Kukatpally early morning at 4 AM when the accident occurred.
The head of Girish Gupta (24), a badminton coach who hails from Srikakulam district was trapped in the railing of a metro station in the incident. He died on the spot. Another person his friend Ravi Teja (22), from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh was injured.
Ravi Teja, who also hurt serious head injuries, was shifted to the hospital, his condition is also said to be serious.
Police were able to take the body of Girish Gupta by cutting the railing. The body was shifted to Osmania Hospital for postmortem.
