Nizamabad MP, D Aravind Detained, MP was Going to Bhainsa, Section 144 Imposed in Bhainsa

Hyderabad, 09 March: D Aravind, BJP MP from Nizamabad was detained by the Hyderabad city police on Monday night, MP was on the way to Bhainsa in Nirmal following clashes.

D Aravind was planning to meet victims of Sunday’s clashes. The Hyderabad city police stopped the MP at Banjara Hills Road No. 2 and took him into preventive custody.

Section 144 Imposed in Bhainsa

Vishnu S Warrier, in-charge Superintendent of Police said, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) was imposed in the town as a precautionary measure on Monday After clashes between two communities in various parts of Bhainsa on Sunday night.

In addition to imposing Section 144, a police flag march has been held, police patrolling is increased, and police pickets have been posted in several areas, to maintain peace and to bring the situation in the town under control.

Vishnu S Warrier, in-charge Superintendent of Police said

  • Law and order were totally under control and the public need not panic over the situation.
  • 500 policemen, armed forces were also deployed stepping up security.
  • 28 persons were arrested in 4 cases, and for their involvement in the clashes.
  • Stern action would be taken against the offenders.
  • Requested cooperation of civilians and requested them to share information promptly with the police.
  • He urged the public not to believe in rumours being spread on social media platforms.
