Due to global fears over the new strain of coronavirus, a night curfew has been announced in Karnataka and in Maharshtra

In Karnataka the night curfew will be from 10 PM to 6 AM –  till January 2.

In Maharashtra, the night curfew will be from 11pm to 6am is being imposed from Tuesday, December 22, 2020, for 15 days until January 5, 2021.

After Maharashtra, the Karnataka has become the second state to announce new restrictions this week over the mutant strain – believed to be 70 per cent more infectious – first reported in the United Kingdom.

The new restrictions are likely to cloud the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
