Yati Narsinghanand who took part at an event in Haridwar last month that called for the genocide of Indian Muslims was arrested on Saturday, he is the second person after co-accused Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi alias Wasim Rizwi to be taken in following an intervention by the Supreme Court.
“Tum sab maroge (All of you will die)” – Haridwar hates Speech Accused Yati Narsinghanand, told police officers when co-accused Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi alias Wasim Rizwi was arrested yesterday.
Tyagi, formerly known as Waseem Rizvi, is the first person to be arrested in the hate speech case in which provocative remarks were made against Muslims at a “Dharma Sansad”.
Further, Uttarakhand Police have issued notices to others accused including Yati Narsinghanand, and Sadhvi Annapurna, asking them to appear before them.
