Hyderabad: Accident happened when the tourists from Shaikpet, Hyderabad after the minibus they fell into the valley on the Ghat Road in Visakhapatnam (AP) late on Friday.
Eight tourists, including a three-month-old girl were killed while some others were critically injured.
It is learned that the accident took place at turn five in Ananthagiri zone Damuku.
The police and ambulance services started rescue operations in the 200-odd feet deep valley and the injured passengers have been shifted to Hospital in S. Kota in Vizianagaram for treatment.
The Critically injured are being made to shift the critically injured to King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
According to sources, the accident happened when 23 tourists, all reportedly from one family in Shaikpet in the city were returning from Araku Valley to Visakhapatnam.

Minister Avanthi Srinivas expressed grief over the incident and instructed the concerned officials to ensure all the injured are given better treatment. Further details about the incident and injured are awaited.
