Hyderabad: Doctors at Medak Orthopedic and General Hospital (MOGH) condemned the attack on their premises on Saturday night. Dr. Naveen, addressing the media, emotionally recounted the incident where a mob of 100 to 150 people stormed the hospital, pelting stones and causing extensive damage. A staff member suffered a fractured leg. Dr. Naveen questioned, “Is treating a patient a sin?” and highlighted the indiscriminate nature of their service, treating patients regardless of their religious affiliation. He emphasized that doctors are there to serve everyone and that such behavior from the mob, identified as BJP and BJYM workers, is unacceptable. Dr. Naveen stated that he would consult with other doctors in Medak to decide on future actions, expressing his distress over the attack on the hospital while treating injured patient Arif Samdani on humanitarian grounds.
