Hyderabad: After the lockdown imposed in Telangana to contain the spread of Covid-19, needy people specially Guest laborors, Daily wages workers, and Hawkers, are being served hot and hygienic meals which includes vegetable curry, sambar and pickle besides rice for Rs. 5 by Annapurna canteens.

Om Thirsday, in Hyderabad city around 45,000 meals are being provided from more than 250 Canteens by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), by adding dozens of more canteen on Thursday.

GHMC has decided to set up an 102 more canteens in addition to the existing ones from Friday to serve the meals.
