Khammam: On Sunday, the Raghunadapalem police arrested physiotherapist Boda Praveen for murdering his wife and two children and staging their deaths as a road accident. Praveen’s wife, Boda Kumari, 26, and his daughters, Krushika, 4, and Thaniska, 3, were found dead in a car that had collided with a tree. Praveen was also found with minor injuries on June 28. Kumari’s parents expressed doubts about the accident, prompting a police investigation that revealed Praveen’s guilt.
Assistant Commissioner of Police S.V. Ramana Murthy reported that Praveen, residing in Bavoji Thanda and working at a private hospital in Hyderabad, had returned to his native place on June 17 under the pretext of visiting his sick mother. He took his family to Khammam, where he executed his plan by killing his wife and children in the car. To stage the deaths as accidental, he deliberately crashed the car into a tree. Praveen’s motive was linked to an extramarital affair with a Kerala woman, Soni Francis, which his wife had confronted him about. The post-mortem report was crucial in solving the case.
