Hyderabad: A tragic incident occurred at Singareni Colony, Saidabad, where a man named Mohd Khaleel Pasha (30) died after allegedly slipping and falling while trying to escape from Excise officials.

Incident Details:

• Location: Block number 126, Singareni Colony, Saidabad, Hyderabad.
• Victim: Mohd Khaleel Pasha, 30 years old, residing with his family.
• Event: On Saturday evening, a team of Excise and Prohibition personnel visited the colony, reportedly to conduct an awareness drive about drug abuse.

Sequence of Events:

• Upon spotting the Excise officials, Khaleel Pasha assumed they had come to arrest him and panicked.
• In an attempt to flee, he tried to get down using one of the water pipelines in the apartment.
• Unfortunately, he slipped and fell from the third floor, sustaining severe injuries.

Aftermath:

• Khaleel was immediately taken to a private hospital and later transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
• Despite medical efforts, he died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital on Sunday night.

Family’s Allegation:

• The family members of Khaleel alleged that he died while trying to escape the police, who they claimed had come to arrest him.

The incident is being investigated by the Saidabad police station officials.
