Mumbai, 04 April: The Maharashtra state government on Sunday declared new restrictions including a night curfew across state, “strict lockdown” over the weekends from Friday 8 PM to Monday 7 AM amid or extraordinary surge in pandemic in the state.
The following restriction come into effect, after Maharashtra CM led a cabinet meeting to discussed the situation on Sunday.
- Night Curfew from 8 PM to 7 AM
- Ban on gatherings of five or more 24 hours day.
- Malls, Restaurants, Bars and places of Worship will be closed, only home delivery and essential services will be allowed.
- Industrial operations and construction activity will be allowed.
- Rules to control crowding in vegetable markets will be introduced.
- Film shoots will be allowed without crowds, but all theatres will be closed.
- Weekends Lockdown from Friday 8 PM to Monday 7 AM, except essential services.
- No new restrictions on traffic but public transport will run at 50 per cent capacity.
