Hyderabad: Railway Lineman, Two Daughters Tragically Runover by Train at Gowdavalli Station

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident on Sunday, a railway lineman and his two daughters were fatally struck by a train at Gowdavalli railway station on the Medchal-Secunderabad route.

T. Krishna, 38, a key maintenance worker for the Secunderabad railway, was working on the tracks when his daughters, Varshita, 11, and Varini, 5, arrived at the station. The children were playing on the tracks when Krishna noticed them and rushed to save them. Tragically, the Rayalaseema Express train arrived just seconds later, hitting all three.

Inspector B. Saieashwar Goud of the Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP) reported the incident, stating that the railway police have transferred the bodies to a mortuary. A case has been registered by the GRP Secunderabad. Krishna lived with his wife and daughters in Raghavendra Nagar, Sri Sai Nilayam. Upon hearing the news, his wife rushed to the scene of the accident.
