Justice Hima Kohli Takes Oath as Chief Justice Telangana High Court

Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to Kumari Justice Hima Kohli, as Chief Justice, High Court for the State of Telangana at Raj Bhavan today. Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao was present at the Swearing-in Ceremony.

Present Chief Justice of the High Court Justice RS Chauhan transferred to Uttarakhand High Court.

Justice Hima Kohli was born on 2 September 1959 in Delhi. In 1979, she has completed her graduation in Bachelor of Arts Honors in History from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Later she has done Post Graduation in History from the University of Delhi. She has studied Law at The Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi.

Kohli started practicing law with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1984. She performed as a Standing Counsel and Legal Advisor to the New Delhi Municipal Council in the High Court of Delhi from 1999 to 2004.

She was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Delhi with effect from 29 May 2006 and elevated as permanent judge from 29 August 07.
