New Delhi: Places linked to Activist and Actor Sonu Sood in Mumbai, and Lucknow were raided by the Income Tax department today Wednesday.
According to Income Tax Department, “A recent deal between Sonu Sood’s company and a Lucknow-based real estate firm is under the scanner. The survey operation has been initiated on allegations of tax evasion on this deal,”
According to media reports, The income tax raids come days after Sonu Sood’s meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who later declared Sonu Sood the brand ambassador for his government’s mentorship programme for school students in the capital.
However, Sonu Sood had later denied any plans for a political debut with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
