IPL 2021 in Six Cities, from 9 April – 30 May 30, No Matches in Hyderabad

New Delhi, 07 March:  Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2021 will start on April 9 in Chennai and its final will be held on May 30 in Ahmedabad, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Sunday.

The matches will be played in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.

The season will start on 9th April 2021 in Chennai and the final to be played in Ahmedabad.

Each team is to be played at four venues during the league stage. Out of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata & Bengaluru will host 10 matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each.

Last year IPL hosted the tournament in the UAE due to coronavirus pandemic. BCCI is confident of hosting the IPL at home with health and safety of players and all people involved being paramount.
