Hyderabad’s Engineer Wins $1 Million in Dubai Duty-Free Draw

Dubai: Khaliq Naik Mohammed, a 48-year-old Indian engineer living in Abu Dhabi, won $1 million in the latest weekly Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire draw on Wednesday.

Having resided in the UAE capital since 2012, Khaliq Naik Mohammed has consistently participated in the Dubai Duty-Free promotions for the past four years. Originally from Hyderabad, India, he works as an engineer-instructor at a university and is a father of three.

When asked about his plans for the winnings, he said, “Most of the funds will go to my children’s education and our family’s future, while I will also do some charity works.”

Finest Surprise Draw

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was held for one luxury car and two motorbikes.

  • Nazeer E., a 44-year-old Pakistani national residing in Dubai for 20 years, won a Mercedes Benz S500 car. He works for a logistics company and previously won a BMW F 900 XR motorbike in 2022.
  • Kevin DSouza, a 40-year-old Portuguese national living in Dubai since 2017, won a BMW S 1000 R motorbike. A regular participant in Dubai Duty-Free promotions since 2021, he is a father of two and works as a pilot.
  • Rajasekaran Samaresan, an Indian national based in the UAE, won a BMW R 1250 RS motorbike.
