Hyderabad: A weather warning from the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad said heavy rainfall was likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana till Sunday.
In Hyderabad, there was a possibility of light to moderate rain or thundershowers on Friday.
Under the influence a low-pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha and West Bengal coasts coupled with cyclonic circulation, heavy to moderate rains have been forecast for Telangana State for the next four days.
While the Southwest Monsoon continuing to be active over Telangana, the city received light to moderate rainfall right from morning hours on Thursday, just as it has been for the last one week. On Thursday, several parts recorded moderate rainfall with Charminar and Rajendra Nagar registering 18.3 mm, followed by Madhapur (18 mm), Asif Nagar (17 mm) and Marredpally (16.8 mm), according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at in several places in the districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Kumram Bhim, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupallpally, Warangal urban and rural, Mahbubabad, Bhadrachalam, Khammam, Nalgonda and Suryapet in the coming days.
Water level at Srisailam reservoir is 865.32 feet, available quantum of water is 123.41 tmc, inflow is 52,166 cusecs and outflow are 54,285 cusecs. Water level in Nagarjuna Sagar is 563.50 feet, current storage level is 240.60 tmc out of 312.05 tmc. Inflow into Sagar is 40,259 and outflow is 7,822 cusecs. On the other hand, heavy inflow continued into Godavari basin projects such as SRSP with 8,604 cusecs, Sripada Yellampally with 25,916 cusecs, lower Manair with 3,153 cusecs and Kadam with 779 cusecs.
