Hyderabad, 02 April: Deccan Chemicals factory, a chemical manufacturing factory started leaking gas after a one of the containers get damage, triggered panic in people in Maruthi Nagar, Amberpet area here on Friday.
Today afternoon, the local residents around the Deccan Chemicals factory sensed a pungent smell emanating, immediately alerted the police and the fire department. Fire department brought the situation under control within an hour.
The Amberpet police are investigating. Meanwhile, the GHMC officials have seized the unit.
