Texas, USA: A tragic car crash in Texas claimed the lives of five people, including three Telugu individuals from Andhra Pradesh. The accident occurred on State Highway 121 near Randolph, around 6:45 p.m. local time, when a vehicle attempted to overtake traffic in a no-passing zone, resulting in a head-on collision. Both vehicles caught fire.

Among the victims were Gopi Tirumuru from Gudur, Rajineni Shiva, and Haritha from Srikalahasti. Haritha’s husband, Sai Chennu, survived the crash but remains in critical condition. The victims, all non-resident Indians (NRIs), were professionals in the U.S. on H1B visas. They were traveling together when the accident occurred.

Authorities responded quickly, but five of the passengers were declared dead on the spot. The cause is believed to be over-speeding, and investigations are ongoing.
