First Container School in Telangana to Come Up in Mulugu

Telangana: The first container school in Telangana is being set up in Bangarupally, a remote village in the Mulugu district’s forest area, overcoming forest department restrictions on permanent constructions. Initiated by Panchayat Raj Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, this innovative school comprises two connected containers, 25 meters long, with 12 dual-desk tables and other basic infrastructure. It will be inaugurated on September 17, during Praja Palana Divas.

The project, completed in just 10 days, cost ₹13.5 lakh, sourced from the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT). This creative solution follows a similar initiative when Dr. Seethakka inaugurated a container hospital in Pocharam, Thadvai Mandal, providing emergency medical services in another remote area.

Dr. Seethakka has also called on the central government to relax forest regulations for development projects like schools, hospitals, roads, and essential infrastructure in tribal regions. She pointed out that while forest laws are relaxed for mining activities, they remain stringent for projects aimed at improving tribal living conditions.

This container school and the earlier hospital demonstrate a new approach to solving infrastructure challenges in rural and forest regions, providing better education and healthcare services through innovative, mobile solutions.
