Hyderabad: the police arrested three individuals, including a father, Asif, for selling his 18-day-old baby in Bandlaguda. The father, with the aid of a broker named Sultana, sold the baby for Rs 1 lakh to a woman four days prior.
Following a complaint from the baby’s mother, the police quickly acted, booking a case on Thursday and successfully rescuing the infant within 24 hours.
The baby has since been returned to the mother, and the police are continuing their investigation.
