Mumbai: A day after a security scare in VIP area over an abandoned SUV with explosives near Indian richest person Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai home (Antilia), the Mumbai police traced the car owner, the car was stolen from him recently.
Mumbai Police found a handwritten letter inside the car addressed to Mukesh Ambani’s wife Neeta Ambani. A man not identified who was wearing a mask and a hoodie is seen parking the SUV in CCTV footage.
Twenty gelatin sticks to be used in explosives were found in the car by the bomb disposal squad.
The number plate is fake, and the car was stolen the police said. Despite attempts to wipe off the chassis number of the car the car’s owner has been identified through the chassis number.
The police are gathering CCTV footage from various parts of the city to track the route of the car. Police teams have deployed across the city and are conducting searches. The vehicle has been seized for investigation.
Antilia, a 27-storey one of the world’s largest and most luxurious private homes. Ambani family lives in the top six floors.
