Gujarat: In Bhavnagar, Gujarat, a doctor named Jaideepsinh Gohil was attacked after requesting that family members of a patient remove their slippers before entering the emergency room. The incident occurred at a private hospital in Sihor on a Saturday. The patient’s family was there to seek treatment for a woman with a head injury.
A CCTV video shows the men initially standing by the patient’s bed. When Dr. Gohil made the request about the footwear, tensions escalated into a violent confrontation. The family members, identified as Hiren Dangar, Bhavdeep Dangar, and Kaushik Kuvadiya, assaulted the doctor, causing damage to medical equipment and the room.
The police have arrested the three individuals involved. They face charges under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for actions intended to cause harm, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation.
