New Delhi: Rahul Rajput was beaten to death in Delhi allegedly over his affair with a girl belongs to other faith, police has said. Five people have been taken into police custody in the case, including three minors.

Rahul was a second-year student of Bachelor of Arts and uses to give tuition taught students at home. He was attacked by over 8-10 men, and despite attempts to save him by some people around, they continued to thrash him, he died due to severe internal injuries at a hospital. Rahul’s father said.
Police said the group that attacked the boy included the brother of the girl, Mohammad Raj, 20, a relative Munawar Hussain, 20, and three of their friends, who are minors. The five have been arrested for the murder.
Sanjay Rajput said his son had a fever and wanted to get himself tested for Covid. The girl had accompanied him for the testing, which proved negative. “Even if the girl’s family had an issue, my son was young, and they could have slapped him or told us. But killing him could not have been the solution,” said the distraught father. “All I want is that the people who killed my son should never be released from jail. They have ruined my family and taken away my son. I don’t have anyone now to lose, but there are others like my son who shouldn’t suffer.”
Rajput’s family said the accused had been threatening him for a while. Another of Rajput’s uncles, Raju, said, “We were worried that something would happen but never expected they would kill our boy. He was hardworking and honest. He taught children in the locality and helped his father in his business.”
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today said: “The family had come from a village to settle here. The boy used to teach and help others. We will ensure that those responsible get punished as soon as possible.”
Sisodia further said, “The family is traumatized now. We are giving a financial help of ₹ 10 lakh to them. We will make sure that prominent lawyers help them. The family wants justice. We want to set an example so that this doesn’t happen with anyone else.”
