Delhi High Court Stays Broadcast of Sudarshan TV Show on Muslim ‘infiltration’ in Govt. Services

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court Friday restricted Sudarshan TV from broadcasting a program titled ‘Bindas Bol’, whose latest promo alleged that the channel was all set to broadcast a ‘big expose on conspiracy to infiltrate Muslims in government service’.

The show was scheduled to air tonight at 8 pm.

The appeal asserted that the proposed broadcast wanted to defame, attack and provoke hate against Jamia Millia Islamia, its alumni, and the Muslim community at large.

Justice Navin Chawla issued notice and requested responses of Central government, the Union Public Service Commission, Sudarshan TV, and its Editor-in-Chief, Suresh Chavhanke on a petition filed by former and present students of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

The high court listed the matter for next hearing on September 7.

Sr Supreme Court Lawyer Mr. Prashant Bhushan Encourages the Delhi High Court for staying the TV show  in his tweet.

“Kudos to the Delhi High Court for staying the airing of this communal program by Sudarshan News. Promoting hate among communities is a serious crime in this country. The HCs are showing the way to the SC”
