Puducherry, 22 FEB: The Congress government after losing its majority in Puducherry collapsed today and Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy resigned.
Puducherry also known as Pondicherry.
After two MLA exits on Sunday, the Congress government’s numbers had dropped to less than half, i.e., 12 MLAs in the house where the majority mark is 14.
After a series of MLAs resignations from the Congress, Puducherry CM Narayanaswamy was asked by the Lieutenant Governor called the Chief Minister and ordered him to take a floor test.
