Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss key state issues. This was their first meeting since Modi’s third term as PM began. They discussed:
- Allocation of coal blocks to Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
- Revival of the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) in Hyderabad.
- Allocation of 2,450 acres of defense land for infrastructure projects, offering alternative land in Raviryal.
- Fulfillment of promises under the State Reorganization Act.
- Sanctioning 2.5 million houses under PMAY.
- Inclusion in the India Semiconductor Mission.
- Establishment of an IIM in Hyderabad.
- Release of Rs 1,800 crore under BRGF for 2019-2024.
- Upgrading state highways to national highways.
- Speedy construction of the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
They also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss:
- Funds for modernizing the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) and Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB).
- Reviewing pending IPS cadre strength from 2021.
- Reinstating certain districts under the SRE scheme for left-wing extremism.
- Setting up two CRPF JTF camps in Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mulugu districts.
- Immediate release of central funds for Special Police Officers (SPOs) and amending rules to employ non-ex-army/policemen as SPOs.
- Resolving long-pending issues between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
