NDA’s AP CM C B Naidu to Meet INDIA’s Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has invited himself to the home of his Telangana counterpart, Revanth Reddy. Despite their long-standing relationship, the meeting between an NDA Chief Minister and a Congress counterpart has generated significant political speculation. The focus is on potential collaborations between the two states, as suggested in Naidu’s letter.

Naidu emphasized the need to address issues arising from the Reorganization Act, which have significant implications for both states’ welfare and advancement. He proposed a meeting on July 6 to discuss these matters comprehensively and find mutually beneficial solutions.

The bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the conclusion of the 10-year period for sharing Hyderabad as a joint capital have put Andhra Pradesh in a challenging position, especially since the Amaravati project has stalled. The political landscape shift, with K Chandrasekhar Rao’s party’s decline in Telangana, presents Naidu with an opportunity to expand his influence.

Naidu’s invitation highlights the potential for enhanced cooperation and progress for both states. He acknowledged Revanth Reddy’s work as Chief Minister and expressed confidence that their discussions would lead to productive outcomes. Naidu shared his intentions publicly on X (formerly Twitter), looking forward to resolving post-bifurcation issues and enhancing state cooperation.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared the letter on X as…

Dear Sri Revanth Reddy Garu, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the remarkable work you have undertaken as the Chief Minister of Telangana. Your dedication and leadership have significantly contributed to the progress and development of Telangana. As Chief Ministers of Telugu-speaking states, it is incumbent upon us to foster close collaboration to ensure sustained progress and prosperity for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Our shared commitment to cooperative development is crucial to realizing our mutual goals of growth and well being. It has been 10 years since bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. There have been multiple discussions concerning issues arising from the Reorganization Act, which hold significant implications for the welfare and advancement of our states. It is imperative that we address these issues amicably with utmost diligence and resolve. In light of this, I propose that we meet at your place on 6th July, Saturday afternoon. I firmly believe that a face-to-face meeting will provide us with the opportunity to engage comprehensively on these critical issues and collaborate effectively towards achieving mutually beneficial solutions for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. I am confident that our deliberations will lead to productive outcomes.
