Hyderabad: On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy hoisted the national flag at the historic Golconda Fort in Hyderabad on Thursday. This act of patriotism was a key part of the celebrations, symbolizing the pride and sovereignty of the nation.
During the event, Chief Minister Reddy also paid homage to the military heroes by offering floral tributes at the Army Martyrs’ Memorial located at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. This gesture was a recognition of the sacrifices made by the soldiers who fought for the country’s freedom and security.
In his address, Revanth Reddy emphasized the significance of Independence Day, calling it a monumental day in Indian history when the country broke free from British colonial rule. He expressed his pride in hoisting the national flag and extended Independence Day greetings to all Indians, marking the day as a festival of freedom.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, the Hyderabad traffic police implemented restrictions around Golconda Fort, which were in effect until noon to manage the flow of visitors and ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
