CFS Suspends Big Basket Warehouse License Over Food Safety Violations in Kondapur, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Commissioner of Food Safety team has suspended the license of the Big Basket warehouse in Masjid Banda, Kondapur, following an inspection that revealed multiple food safety violations posing health risks to consumers.

During the inspection, the team discovered expired food items such as chicken masala, chicken sausages, pizza cheese, paneer, ice cream, and almond fudge, with expiry dates ranging from October 2023 to April 2024.

Additionally, there was edible oil leakage contaminating other food products on lower racks.

Further violations included improper storage conditions for milk bottles, thick shake bottles, and sting tin bottles.

In light of these issues, Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana issued a notice and suspended the warehouse’s license until further notice.
