C.V. Anand Reappointed as Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad City

C.V. Anand previously served as Commissioner until the 2023 Legislative Assembly elections, was transferred during the elections and had been serving as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has appointed C.V. Anand as the Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad City. C.V. Anand, who previously served as Commissioner until the 2023 Legislative Assembly elections, was transferred during the elections and had been serving as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Now, he returns to his role as Commissioner of Police.

In related changes, K. Sreenivasa Reddy, who was the previous Commissioner of Police, has been transferred and appointed as the Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement, as well as Ex-Officio Principal Secretary to the Government in the General Administration (V & E) Department.

Other appointments include:

  • S. Vijay Kumar, formerly Additional Director General (Personnel), is now the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
  • Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, who is the Additional Director General (Law and Order), will now hold the Full Additional Charge (FAC) of Additional Director General (Personnel and Welfare).
  • M. Ramesh, currently Inspector General of Police (Provisioning and Logistics), will take on the FAC of Inspector General of Police (Sports).

These changes reflect a reshuffling of key positions within the Telangana police force.
